Once you realize youâre awake, resist the urge to move your body.
Instead, close your eyelids again âŚ
And start moving your eyes from left to right â back and forth, over and over again â to mimic Rapid Eye Movement (REM).
REM is the phase of sleep when dreams occur.
And when you mimic those eye movements when youâre awake?
You can trick the brain into slipping back into the dreamy state you left.
